It is the mission of First Presbyterian to glorify God and proclaim to all the gift of God's transforming grace by embracing the love and teachings of Jesus Christ.

We are a community of believers focused on the work of Jesus Christ in the world and in our lives.  The volunteer efforts of our members, past and present, have been instrumental in establishing and maintaining community outreach organizations such as Hospice of North Iowa, Community Kitchen, Hawkeye Harvest Food Bank, and Habitat for Humanity.
   
Additionally, our members provide outreach through contributing leadership in the cultural offerings of our community, including music, visual arts and architecture, as well as providing willing hands and hearts for a diverse array of other efforts to improve the quality of life in North Iowa

Our members come from all walks of life. We are teachers, doctors, managers, musicians, artists, secretaries, construction workers, computer engineers, lawyers, nurses, writers, editors, and deconstructors.  We are husbands, we are wives, we are children and youth, and we acknowledge the relativity and relevancy of those terms.  We are many different things to many different people.  But ultimately we are a family in Christ as children of God.
