First Presbyterian is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). PCUSA has approximately 2.4 million members and 11,100 congregations spanning the United States.  To be Presbyterian is to be connected to one another through the Holy Spirit, and through work together at the General Assembly, Synod, and Presbytery levels.

On a smaller scale yet, we belong to the Presbytery of North Central Iowa. NCI Presbytery is comprised of 54 churches stretching from Ft. Dodge to Waterloo on the west and east borders and Ames and Mason City on the south and north borders.
